Old or new, working or not working, it doesn't matter...bring them all! There is of course going to be great music, amazing local artists, wonderful educational workshops and lots of vendors! This is a family friendly environment where I'm sure you'll walk away having learned something new, while having fun doing it! It's going to be an exciting day, so come out and see what's happening and get involved! You never know, it could change the way you look at things and you might learn some tips to lower your electric bill or even some of your other bills...couldn't we all use that information? Most of all, get your kids and friends, meet some new people in your neighborhood and continue to create change in your community! Get a Stellar Green Job

Stellar Organizational Development, LLC, sponsored by the Catalyst Network of Communities, Green Long Beach! (a branch of the Catalyst Network), and the North American School of Green Technology, will be facilitating a free workshop:

What the Heck is a Green Collar Job? Preparing for Green Career Opportunities

On Thursday, November 4, 2010, from 6:30-8:00pm at Hancock University, 1600 Long Beach Blvd, Long Beach, CA, learn about the "hot" green industries growing right here in California and across the country!  Responding to President Obama's call for an economy based on renewable energy, hundreds of new jobs are being created including energy efficient buildings, schools and homes, increased recycling/reuse systems and processes, high-speed transit systems, alternative fuels and alternative energy vehicles. At this workshop, learn what it takes to prepare for green professions, and creative methods for finding employment in green industry sectors.

Your facilitator for the evening, Stella Ursua, is President of Stellar Organizational Development. She is the Education Facilitator for the Green Long Beach! collaborative community. She is also President of the soon-to-open North American School of Green Technology, to be located at Hancock University - 1600 Long Beach Blvd., Long Beach, CA.  Please RSVP to Stella at stellarorgdevelopment@gmail.com to save a space at this informative green jobs workshop.  All Long Beach residents will receive a "Green Jobs Guide" upon completion of the workshop.

Stella will be conducting the workshop at various locations in the city during the next 6 months, so if you cannot attend the November 4 session, please email Stella at stellarorgdevelopment@gmail.com to learn about upcoming sessions, or to schedule the workshop for your organization or neighborhood group. Workshops are supported by a grant from the Long Beach Community Foundation as part of the Leadership Long Beach Connected Corridor project.
