New Catalyst Emerging Leaders Network

Catalyst is launching a new Emerging Leaders Network comprised of new Executive Directors, Founders, and Business owners. This will be a relational network meaning its an informal support system for those of us passionate enough to start up (or run) our organization but we're simply trying to figure it all out along the way!

Do you relate with any of these scenarios?

• You are so busy running your programs that you don't have the time to get organized, much less do any strategic planning.
• You started your organization but don't have a financial background so you're not sure how to create a functional budget or do bookkeeping.
• You are surrounded by volunteers and everyone looks to you for leadership so you don't have anyone to vent your own stress to.
• You are so busy operating your organization, you don't have time to write grants.
• You have Board of Directors who are just friends doing you a favor so they're not necessarily passionate enough to help fund raise for the organization.
• You are super confused about which forms you have to file every year and which forms you have to file every two years and some to the state and some to federal and......etc.
• You are pretty much your largest and practically only donor and you've been funding your group yourself for a while now.
• Leadership is paradoxically very lonely.

Yeah, there's more that we could all probably relate with.

So this Emerging Leaders Network isn't about doing educational workshops to teach you all of these things. Our relational network is a support system for each other. It's about building camaraderie with each other. BUT.....we'll also figure out together what kinds of things we do want workshops and training and equipping on, and then we'll seek out existing leadership resources that we all can tap in to.
